The global researcher (affiliated) with ICMRI is about supporting your career and expand our network. It is intended for PhD students and for postdocs who are interested in next career step.

How it works

This is remote affiliation during 3-12 months. You can stay at your place wherever you are in the world. The idea is to use our IW-Global platform for online meetings in your research topic (or any topic that you decide from your interest). There can be forums and workshops. How many is up to you. You will get a certicificate of Global Researcher after organizing minimum one forum and one workshop, and a summary report. We have the Zoom account for online meetings. You can focus on networking to gather research colleagues to meet.

During the period of activity you will benefit from our career and skill development training as offered by our Research to Business platform. When ICMRI has funding, we will recruit from our network. The affiliated position is a way to get own career development, and for us to grw our network and also possible recruitments. We are now recruiting postdoc in silicon carbide crystal growth.

Why Forum and Workshop formats

When organizing an event, people will come to you. They will know more about you and thereby also about your research. It is a way to build network and opportunities. You will need collaborations for funding. The larger the project, the more collaborations to gather a consortium for supply chain, such as in EU projects.
